• Casting filters are specialised materials or devices used in metal casting processes to improve the quality of molten metal. They do this by removing impurities, such as oxides, slag and sand particles, and by optimising the flow of metal during pouring. They play a critical role in reducing defects, enhancing mechanical properties and ensuring the reliability of cast components.

• A casting filter is a new filter material made of foamed iron nickel foam. It has high open porosity, uniform pores, and excellent gas and liquid permeability. This material is used in various types of aluminium products.

• Its sufficient specific surface area and high pore structure can effectively remove harmful impurities, such as bubbles, ash inclusions and other inclusions, from the molten metal. This process eliminates blowholes, slag holes and blisters in castings, thereby improving their yield and quality.

• Additionally, using a casting filter can enhance the mechanical properties of castings due to its hardness and uniform surface hardness, as well as improving flexural strength. These improvements enhance the machining performance and efficiency of castings, simplify the casting system, and improve template utilisation.

Operation Instructions

 

• Please read the manual carefully before using it in order to ensure proper use of the product.
• Place the aluminium foam water filter product in the sprue cup or at the bottom of the straight runner.
• Please do not transposed or tilt.
• Please do not use at temperatures higher than the melting point.

 

 

Packing Details

• The casting filter will be packed with waterproof paper or a weave bag and then placed into pallets or wooden cases.
• Spool wire or ribbon products will be packed with plastic film and standard cardboard boxes before being placed into pallets or wooden cases.
