Nickel foam for batteries

     Nickel foam for batteries is a nickel product manufactured from nickel hydroxide. It is made by heating nickel hydroxide to high temperatures and then compressing it to form a porous foam. It is a porous, sponge-like material that has proven to be extremely efficient in the manufacture of batteries. Because of its porous nature, it can be used to make batteries as a conductive, porous filler. While it is an important part of the battery manufacturing process, it should be noted that the product is not a battery in and of itself. It is used as an additive in the production of batteries, but it is not the battery itself.
