Open Cell Nickel Foam
Jan 30, 2023
Nickel foam is commonly used as an electrode in NiMH and NiCd batteries. New grades of nickel-based foams with improved corrosion resistance, mechanical strength, electrical conductivity, and high temperature performance are being developed in addition to the wide range of commercially available foam products.
Our nickel foam is made with the most advanced proprietary technology for Physical Vapor Deposition pre-coating and electroplating. Customers can choose from a wide range of nickel densities, widths, thicknesses, and pore sizes thanks to the modern flexible production capability.
Battery and Fuel Cells
Nickel foam is used in rechargeable consumer and traction batteries. Its high porosity, high conductivity, and uniform pore structure result in lighter, more energy-dense batteries.
Catalysts
Its porous, open structure combined with the catalytic properties of nickel make it an excellent choice for catalysts or catalyst support.
Filters
The strength, temperature and corrosion resistance of nickel foam make it useful as a filter material.
