What Is Copper Foam

Nov 02, 2023

Copper foam is a novel multifunctional material that consists of a large number of connected or unconnected holes that are uniformly distributed on a copper substrate. When compared to nickel foam, copper foam has better electrical conductivity and ductility, as well as lower preparation costs. It can be used to make battery negative electrode (carrier) materials, catalyst carriers, and electromagnetic shielding materials. Copper foam, in particular, has some obvious advantages as a substrate for battery electrodes, but its corrosion resistance is not as good as that of nickel, limiting some of its applications.
