Nickel Foam Characteristic

Apr 29, 2023

Nickel Foam is a porous three-dimensional anode that is suitable for organic compound oxidation. It is commonly used as a photocatalytic material, as an electrode in photoluminescence systems, and as an electrode development material in fuel cells.

Nickel Foam is an excellent sound-absorbing material, with a higher sound absorption coefficient at higher frequencies. As a result, the design of sound absorption frameworks may improve sound absorption at low frequencies. It is also used in Nickel-Cadmium batteries and the electrode materials of Hydrogen-Nickel batteries.

The base material is porous open-celled foams, and three methods of producing a conductive layer are chemical plating, vacuum plating, and conductive adhesive leaching. In general, nickel plating thickness can be pre-plated in Sulphate Nickel plating solution. Nickel Foam Electrode practical applications with excellent performance can be obtained after the calcination, reduction, and annealing processes.
