(1) Properties of the base metal;

(2) Relative density;

(3) Pore structure type (open or closed cell);

(4) The uniformity of the pore structure;

(5) Aperture size;

(6) Anisotropy of pore shape and pore structure;

(7) Connectivity of the hole wall;

(8) Defects (such as the incompleteness of the hole wall, etc.)
